Christian Lacroix marked his 20th anniversary by putting on an exhibition at Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris called Christian Lacroix, Histoires de Mode. The revamped museum reopened in 2006 after years of neglect. The display features designs by the celebrated couture designer and 500 fashion pieces from the 1800’s to the 1930’s. The 56 year-old personally sifted through some 80,000 historical items. "What I wanted to show above all, is that nothing is newly invented and behind every one of my creations, there's something that went before it," Lacroix explained to the Reuters news agency.

Shoppers around the world mobbed H&M stores last week when Roberto Cavalli released his first collaboration with the fast fashion retailer. Some zealous fans bought the entire limited edition collection with a few even more than one. Many of the pieces were affordable versions of the animal prints that made the Italian designer popular with countless celebrities. A bronze pleated evening gown sold for just under $500 which is the most expensive dress ever sold by the company. In the past H&M has partnered with Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf and Madonna.

Bail was set for designer Anand Jon Alexander at just over $2 million. He was charged with 59 counts of sexual harassment involving 20 young women. The Indian born Los Angeles based Anand pleaded not guilty to all charges. His lawyer said the 33 year-old is the victim of collusion.
