After a lengthy 3 year trail one of Italy 's leading fashion designers, Roberto Cavalli, is facing two years in jail after being hit with charges concerning a 3 million dollar tax fraud.

At question are extensive renovations that the 65 year old Cavalli made to his private 10 million dollar hilltop villa at Pian dei Giullari located on the outskirts of Florence which were paid for by company funds.

The designer claims that his home is primarily used for business and it is where celebrities such as Madonna, Sting, Cindy Crawford and Jennifer Lopez come to try on his designs.

But the tax department insists that a helicopter hanger and indoor and outdoor swimming pools are for personal use. If Cavalli is sentence to jail he has an automatic right to appeal.

	Supermodel and veteran scrapper Naomi Campbell lost her famous temper again this time onboard a British Airways London to L.A. flight last week. She was overheard turning on her assistant when she got angry about some misplaced dresses. Things got ugly and a mile-high shouting match ensued. The assistant quit rather loudly. Passengers complained about the racket. They only stopped going at each other when a flight attendant threatened to get the Captain to separate the verbally abusive duo.

The battle between PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and Vogue editor Anna Wintour is getting desperate and personal.

In the past the anti-fur organization was unable to convince Wintour to ban fur from Vogue Magazine by showing her hideous images of animals struggling in traps.

Now animal rights activities want to turn the table on Wintour by showing her unflattering images of herself with the caption “Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People”. The posters were displayed outside a London Fashion Week party hosted by Wintour.

	Kate Moss may still face prosecution for drug misuse in connection with recent photos published in a London tabloid. The Crown Prosecution Service has not decided if it will pursue the case. According to published reports Moss's attorneys were initially assured that she would not be charged if she returned to Britain and agreed to be interviewed by police.

...Milan

Canon is now the primary sponsor of Milan Fashion Week which runs from Feb. 18-26. After experimenting with a shorter schedule the Italian Chamber of Fashion has returned to a larger agenda of 101 shows and 73 presentations.

It was a difficult choice because many complained that the calendar is too long but the organizers wanted to give as many designers as possible exposure. Giogio Armani will open and Roberto Cavalli will close the week.

Paris Hilton opened the Julien MacDonald show during London fashion week wearing a stunning diamond necklace and earrings without incident. The jewels were designed by Swiss Jeweler de Grisogono and valued at 3.5 million dollars.

The last time Hilton wore borrowed diamonds valued a $2 million at a party in Ibiza security guards had to be called in when she lost an earring and guests were kept waiting for hours. It eventually turned up under an ice bucket.

In what is being described as a moment of clarity Jimmy Choo muse Tamara Mellon decided that her relationship with new boyfriend Kid Rock was ridiculous and decided to call the whole thing off.

The odd couple met at Sir Elton John's London wedding and floated away on a cloud together. Rock was said to be over the moon and totally obsessed with Mellon. But when she recently visited him on tour she realized that her new life with the rock and roll animal was absurd.
