Lindsay Lohan is set to replace Gisele Bundchen as the next face of Louis Vuitton. The label's head designer Marc Jacobs is said to have asked her to pose for its Fall/Winter 2007 collection.

Some feel at only 19 years of age Lohan is not sophisticated enough to represent the prestige fashion house. Jacobs stated that he wants his next ads to be young and "cartoony".

According to a British Magazine article Karl Lagerfeld decided not to attend Sir Elton John's recent wedding because of the stringent security measures in effect.

After receiving an invitation that called for no gifts for the couple, no cameras and no cell phones Lagerfeld decided that he did not like to be told how to behave and so did not show up for the Pink Piano Man's nuptials to David Furnish.

"You feel not like a guest. You feel like an unpaid extra. You're hostage for a party.”

Diesel Jeans managed to push the envelope and get its latest ads banned by the Advertising Standards Authority.

It also managed to get a ton of free publicity in the process.

The ad showed a man's body entangled by three pairs of female legs. The ASA ruled the ads suggested sexual behavior that would offend most audiences.

Naomi Campbell is said to have an autobiography in the works. The 35 year-old supermodel apparently was talked into it by gal pal Oprah Winfrey.

One of the conditions of Campbell telling everything is for the talk show Diva to work with her on the project.

“I've always said I make mistakes and that's how I learn in life. I want the people who read it to find something - whether it's just one line of help, or identification with what I've been through”.

Chanel just learned that being famous is more important than being well behaved. According to head designer Karl Lagerfeld it was too quick to fire Kate Moss after her drug problems last year.

All the publicity and melodrama surrounding the supermodel has only increased her popularity.

Lagerfeld was quoted as saying, "I think she will be more successful than ever. Chanel will sign with her”.

According to a recent profile in the New Yorker Magazine Dior's superstar heroin chic men's wear designer Hedi Slimane, who has championed an emaciated drug induced cadaver body image, maintains his own skeleton physique not by substance abuse but by baby food abuse.

Slimane admitted to eating jars of infant puree. He prefers to live vicariously through others and does not do drugs, drink or smoke and has a healthy lifestyle. The - do as I say not as I do - Wunderkind does not see himself as a hypocrite but rather as acting out his own particular fantasy.

Slimane has been so influential in the fashion world that even Karl Lagerfeld starved himself to loss 60 pounds just to fit into his clothes.

Designer Valentino seemed to jump the gun when he made an announced that three key red carpet walkers would be wearing his exclusive designs to the Academy Awards.

In a press release one day before the Oscars he gave a heads up to the media that Keira Knightley, Jennifer Lopez and Uma Thurman would be in his gowns.

However Knightley showed up in a dress by Vera Wang, Lopez was wearing vintage and Thurman ran the gauntlet of photographers in Versace.
