The Toronto event, which has always featured an outlandish but incredible stage performance, started out two decades ago as a desperate attempt by the fashion community to fight back against the devastating disease that stole many young lives.
To date Fashion Cares has managed to raise buckets of money and the medical research that it helped fund has found ways to allow those effected to live almost normal lives.
This years performance was centered around a retrospective of the last twenty years and included highlights of Rupaul, The Village People, Lionel Ritchie, Pattie Labelle and many others.
