PETA members displayed rather poor table manners during a recent restaurant dinner outing with Beyoncé. The Pop Diva and her mother Tina Knowles, together with whom she runs he fur fashion line, House of Deron, had no idea that the couple who had paid thousands of dollars in a celebrity silent auction to have diner with them at Nabo 57 were actually secret operatives sent by PETA ( People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
After exchanging pleasantries and ordering food the couple suddenly pulled out a mini DVD player which showed animals being killed and skinned in a film narrated by Pamela Anderson. In front of horrified onlookers the animal rights saboteurs began screaming acquisitions at the Knowles who discretely made for the exit.

A French court ruled that the Louis Vuitton Flagship Store on the Champs Elysées can not do business on Sundays.
Currently all stores are required to be closed on the seventh day. Only museums are allowed to be open. Since its massive overhaul last year the LV store claimed that a new art exhibit technically qualified as a museum and that the rest of the store should be treated as one big museum shop.
About 5,000 to 10,000 shoppers visited the store on Sundays. The luxury retailer however recently lost a court challenge by the French Confederation of Christians.

Fashion Designer and bar room brawler Tommy Hilfiger recently switched one tall blonde girlfriend for another tall blonde girlfriend and no one seemed to notice.
In March Hilfiger broke-up with his long time flame and fiancée Lizzie Somerby. Shortly after he started appearing in public with 39 year-old Dee Ocleppo but very few people twigged to the difference.
Newspaper gossip columns often referred to Ocleppo as Somerby. However after Tommy's famous punch-out with Axl Rose in a New York bar, caused when Axl hit on Ocleppo, people finally started to take notice of the new woman on Hilfiger's arm.

It seems Marc Jacobs has finally snapped out of it and returned to his senses. After the Louis Vuitton designer fell head over heels for former male hustler Jason Preston many people worried that the lopsided relationship with a man almost 20 years younger and from the tougher side of the street, would be too much of a distraction.
Now it seems Jacobs agrees. He told Pride Magazine, "I wanted things to be a certain way, and it's just not working ....I wanted him to be there when I wanted him to be there. I have to be in bed at 11:30 and he's 25 and wants to go to clubs every night. . . . I adore him. But do I want to control him? No."

Preston now is walking around like second hand goods with Marc Jacob's corporate logo tattooed on his arm and telling anyone that would listen that, "It's funny how you think you know somebody and then they turn out to be someone you never expected. It sucks because I believed in him, I believed in us."

The news the whole of the fashion world was waiting for came in the form of a short statement from Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Kate Moss will not be charged with drug related offenses.
There was not enough evidence to build a case. The cloud will finally be lifted over the future of the supermodel. Ironically her career skyrocketed after all the publicity generated by her drug arrest and fatal attraction to Pete Doherty. However friends remain worried that Moss did not learned from her close brush with disaster. They are concerned that she has not curbed her wild lifestyle and is secretly seeing Doherty.

Fashion designers, Hussein Chalayan and Julien Macdonald as well as handbag designer Lulu Guinness were honored with OBEs (Order of the Brisish Empire) by the Queen as she read out her honor list on her 80th birthday.

Clothing Retailer Philip Green was made a Knight and Joan Bursten founder of Browns was made a Commander of the British Empire. However much of the parade of honorees had a freak show aspect with the inclusion of a 98 year-old fish and chip vendor, a funeral director, a beekeeper with 90,000 bees and a 90 something rugby player.
