Kate Moss has been accused by a young model she once helped nurture of shameless backstabbing.
17 year-old Daisy Lowe, daughter of singer Pearl Lowe, is said to be infuriated that Moss stole her thunder by appearing in Agent Provocateur underwear ads.
Daisy started working for the lingerie company 2 years ago and was its star until Moss showed up. Daisy was also shocked last year to find out that her biological father was Bush singer Gavin Rossdale who is now married to Gwen Stefan.

New York’s literati have decided that Vogue Magazine represents some of the finest contemporary American literature of the day. Even if it is 90% ads and the rest photospreads. 
The New York Public Library's Young Lions board has invited Vogue editor Anna Wintour along with several fashion models to a celebrity reading later this year. One possible guest speaker is Karolina Kurkova. A somewhat perplexed board member was quoted as saying ...
” I do believe that having some famous models read will not be very interesting except when they pronounce a multi-syllable word.”

Michael Kors and his classic sportswear styling have long been a darling of the American fashion scene. However financial success has continued to elude him.
In recent years some promising licensing deals have turned out to be a disappointment. Now Kors and his partners have decided to take their show on the road and open their own dedicated retail stores around the country.
They recently opened their first concept boutique in White Plains New York and have plans to open 100 others by 2009.

Talk about provocation. Looks like Trya Banks is about to blow her new found peace with former arch rival Naomi Campbell.
Banks has invited Amanda Brack, one of Campbell’s former assistances who has charged the British Supermodel with assault, to appear on her talk show. Last year Banks and Campbell made a tearful reconciliation on nationwide TV ending a 15 year feud. Brack will give her first US TV interview about the scandal when she appears on Banks' TYRA show on September 18th.

Roland Mouret has hooked up with American Idol creator Simon Fuller to form a new fashion company called RM 19.
"The world is our oyster. We have no limits, and we'll be looking at fashion from a new angle," Mouret was quoted as saying.
The new venture will start by opening a design studio in London and focus on both fashion and media projects.
  Mouret is best known for designing a dress that Scarlett Johansson wore to the Academy Awards.

A recent study conducted by researchers associated with a long term San Antonio Heart Study found that diet soda drinkers were more likely to be over weight than people who drank regular soda. In addition it also found that heavier drinkers were literally heavier drinkers. The more diet soda a person consumed the more they tipped the scales. The findings caught researchers by surprise but there seems to be some possible science behind the results. They speculated that people who drank more diet soda felt that they were already watching their weight so they tended to eat more. The San Antonio researchers cautioned that their results are preliminary.

Ambergris is the polite way of saying whale vomit and it is worth its weight in gold. An Australian couple recently lucked out when they stumped across a 25 pound lump on a South Australia's west coast beach which was worth well over 1 million dollars.
At first they had no idea what the sweet smelling smooth rock was so they brought it to a local rock expert who identified it.  Ambergris is used to make perfume and sells for about $20 a gram.
It is found all over the world where whales feed on squid. Their sharp peaks sometimes cause irritation and the sea mammals cough them up. It hardens from a fowl substance to a sweet smelling amber colored rock over time in the sea. Its seductive qualities have been sought out for over a 1,000 years and it is also thought of as an aphrodisiac by some Oriental cultures.
