Paulo Melim Andersson is the new Creative Director for Chloe. The 34-year-old Swede previously was the Design Director at Marni.
Andersson follows Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo.
He is expected to unveil his first collection for the fashion house for autumn/winter 2007-8.
British designer Phoebe Philo quit last year saying she had enough of the stress of designing for a major international label.

Ellen Barkins' therapy auction to dispose of the jewelry given to her by estranged husband Ron Pearlman pulled in a record breaking $20 million dollars. Barkin said selling the jewels helped her purge herself of Perelman's memories.
Christie's originally estimated the collection would go for about $15 million. A JAR diamond ring alone sold for $1.8 million. The actress watched the proceedings from a private viewing room.
A Christie's spokesperson said that,
“The combination of exceptional period jewels, fabulous gemstones, and above all the largest selection of JAR creations ever seen at auction propelled prices to a whole new level.”

According to British Vogue Naomi Campbell checked herself into The Sanctuary, a luxurious rehab center located at Byron Bay in Australia. The center specializes in the treatment of alcoholism, addictions, psychological and physical issues including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, trauma and stress related disorders.
There has been much speculation about Campbell's whereabouts since she was a no show at New York, London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks. She also missed a recent court date after which the judge threatened to arrest her if she did not show up nest time.

Former Top Shop Director Jane Shepherdson says she is embarrassed by claims that she was forced out of her job by Kate Moss. Shepherdson insisted that she agreed to the Moss deal.
She left because after 8 years it was time for someone else to take over.
"It is absolutely not true. I like Kate and I find it embarrassing that people think I left over a row about a supermodel. It is a shame that people think I am that trivial.”

The death of Anna Nicole Smith's 20 year old son Daniel is shaping up into a murder mystery with Nicole's ex-cop mother acting as the unofficial lead investigator.
According to the latest toxicology report he died after suffering a heart attack brought on by a lethal combination of anti-depressants and methadone. However Virgie Arthur, who is estranged from her daughter, believes that simply is not true and the circumstances surrounding her grandson's death are highly suspicious.
Appearing on CNN headline news Arthur suggested that her grandson was murdered by Howard K. Stern who married Smith last week and claims to be the father of her newly born daughter. With Daniel out of the way Stern, who is also Smith's attorney, stands to inherit all of her fortune. Stern was the only other person in the room when Daniel Smith died of a suspected drug overdose while visiting his mother in the hospital after she gave birth to a baby girl. His death was not considered suspect by the Bahamian police who originally investigated the case.

A recent University of California study concluded that women are judged as being more fashionable when they are most fertile.
"They tend to put on skirts instead of pants, show more skin and generally dress more fashionably," said head researcher Martie Haselton a communication studies and psychology expert.
Female university students were asked to participate in a lab test without knowing the real nature of the study. They were photographed during each visit and then the photos were judged as to the participants fashion sense to see if they corresponded with their monthly cycle. They matched 60 percent of the time which is considered well beyond chance.

31 year-old Super model Nikki Taylor is now formally engaged to 26 year-old NASCAR Busch Series Driver Burney Lamar according to her manager.
The happy couple met at a charity event in January and now have plans to marry early next year. Taylor has 11 year-old twin boys with her ex-husband Matt Martinez whom she divorced in 1996.
