Luggage giant Samsonite got more than it bargained for when it commissioned Alexander McQueen to design a set of exclusive luggage.
Last week McQueen unveiled the center piece of the 11 piece collection which was a rolling suitcase made from molded plastic in the shape of a human rib cage.
It can only be described as both grotesque and elegant at the same time. "It's just the way I work, having that twist," said McQueen.
"There's also a slightly sick side to it it's like having a body in a bag."
The luggage zippers are embossed with a mould of McQueen's thumbprint. The luggage and travel accessories should be in stores by February 2007.

A 21 year-old Brazilian model died in a Sao Paulo hospital from complications caused by anorexia.
At 5 feet 8 inches Ana Carolina Reston starved herself down to 88 pounds. That weight is considered normal for a 5 foot tall 12 year-old girl.
Reston had recently worked abroad and did a cover shot for Giorgio Armani. Ironically, Armani announced just last week that he finds skinny models offensive and will not be using them to showcase his clothes.
Last summer the starvation death of Uruguayan model Luisel Ramos resulted in a ban on super skinny models at some fashion weeks and sparked a controversy that is still very much in the news.

When Ellen Barkin ran into her former husband billionaire financer Ron Perelman in a New York restaurant she did not waste time with formalities. Instead she just let him have it.
When he tried to approach her she yelled for him to stop. When he did not she emptied the glass of water she was holding over him.
Barkin had not seen Perelman since he locked her out of the New York townhouse they shared together 6 years ago. The actress however can not be too upset with the Perelman since she just auctioned off the jewelry he lavished on her in better days at Sotheby's for a record $21 million dollars.

In an effort to distance herself from that unflattering barnyard association she announced that she will be going by her middle name of Marcille.
She also dropped her managers Tyra Banks and Benny Medina and will be replacing them with a new team hoping to re-energize her lackluster career.
