Designer Doo-Ri Chung was named the 2006 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner. The award comes with a $200,000 cash prize to help develop her Doo-Ri label.
Chung also received a Montblanc watch and a year's lease on a 2007 Lexus.
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, CFDA executive director Steven Kolb, and Barneys New York vice president and fashion director Julie Gilhart were among the nine-person committee that chose this year's winners. Runners up included Rodarte's Kate and Laura Mulleavy and Thakoon Panichgul of Thakoon. Chung previously won the Swarovski Perry Ellis award for emerging womenswear designer at the CFDA Fashion Awards in June.
