The producers of this years Oscars have signed Vogue's editor-at-large André Leon Tally to narrate the pre-show fashion coverage.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is recognizing the importance of fashion to the overall image of the production which will take place on February 25th at the Kodak Theater.
Talley's knowledge of fashion is legendary. He recently curated a Celebration of Oscar Fashion: An Unprecedented Retrospective of Famous and Infamous Oscar Gowns.

Coty Inc., the parent company of Rimmel, vehemently denied rumors it plans to dump Kate Moss as its spokes model because of her age.
British tabloids reported last week that the 33 year-old supermodel was on her way out and would be replaced with a younger face. Instead a spokesperson for Rimmel said that Moss is still a perfect representative for the mainstream brand. "Kate Moss delivers a distinctive type of beauty that is both inspirational and attainable to Rimmel users".

LeSportsac announced that Stella McCartney will design a limited-edition accessories collection to be launched in spring 2008 for the company.
The initial offering will consist of 30 to 40 styles with a price of between 200 to 250 dollars. No leather will be used.
They will be available at high end retailers, LeSportsac and Stella McCartney boutiques. LeSportsac is banking that the McCartney magic will continue to work and the wild success she had with her private collections for Adidas and H &M will be repeated.

Karl Lagerfeld has found yet another young muse. Women’s Wear Daily reports that the Kaiser of the runway has signed songstress Chan Marshall, who goes by the stage name of Cat Power, as the face of Chanel's jewelry collections.
The 34 year-old is best known for her minimalist style, sparse guitar and piano playing. Lagerfeld first spotted Marshall outside the Mercer Hotel in New York sitting on a pile of Louis Vuitton luggage smoking a cigarette.

Former supermodel Maggie Rizer lost a court room challenge to recoup 3 million dollars gambled away by her stepfather. Two bar owners were named in a lawsuit and were said to be aware of where the money that John Breen was losing on a regular basis was coming from. At her prime Rizer had banked about 7 million dollars that she had let Breen manage. Instead he lost it all playing a New York State Lottery game called Quick Draw . A Manhattan Supreme Court ruled the bar owners had no responsibility to intervene. Rizer, now 27, is on the comeback trail and hopes to regain her former status and earning power. Breen is currently completing a jail sentence as the result of his crime.

A rigorous exercise regime and strict diet are being blamed for bulging veins in the arms, hands, wrists and even fingers of Angelina Jolie.
Even though she is only 31 at times she has the hands of a much older woman. Too much weight bearing exercise results in the body's fat being stripped away exposing the veins. Jolie is a self-confessed fitness fanatic.

Demi Moore recently confessed to Vanity Fair that she had it with extreme weight control and wants to return to being a natural woman.
She said at this point in her life it is more important to be a good role model for her three daughters from a previous marriage to Bruce Willis. "When I was living that idea that if I was thinner I would be better and more accepted and more attractive, I stopped looking at it as being thin or skinny .... I have three daughters with three very different types of bodies. I have one that's very teeny - always has been. Very long-limbed and naturally thin."
