Most New York fashion people are greeting Kate Moss’s newly arrived fashion collection by saying that the supermodel should stick to modeling.
A senor person at Barneys, the exclusive American distributor of Moss’s Top Shop collection, was completely discouraged and widely quoted as saying Moss as a designer was
"a working-class slag from a crap town".
The clothes for the most part are considered unwearable for the average woman unless she is wasted and undernourished. Most fashion critics were shocked to find that Moss’s picks were largely recycled pieces she wore over the years.
The New York Post even went as far as to dig up photos of Moss wearing almost identical items to what was included as part of her collection. New York Magazine described it as
“crap already hanging in her closet.”
