To the eyes of the French Court a recent ad campaign by John Galliano so openly plagiarized the work of renowned American photographer William Klein that he was order to pay $365,000 in damages.

Klein recently held an exhibition of his large contact sheets partially painted over with enamel paint at the Pompidou Centre in Paris. 

The court had no problem deciding that Galliano’s use of similar imagery without permission was clearly illegal since it obviously possessed sufficient photographic proof.

Jessica Alba will earn a cool $5 million for appearing in Revlon campaigns. Alba will first be featured in a global advertising campaign for the new Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara that will include television, print, in-store and internet placements.

It is expected to launch in July 2007. With that type of payday the turmoil that Revlon is currently experiencing is hardly a concern to the actor.
