Karl Lagerfeld’s latest muse is a car engine. The Uber-designer took some time out from preparing for his Cruise collection to photograph the new
Audi R8 to be used as part of a car calendar project called a Kaleidoscopic Vision of a Car.

His contribution consists of an abstract interpretation of the car’s power plant. Lagerfeld will personally unveil his images in a photo exhibition at the Audi Forum New York on 12 May 2007. The exclusive art calendar will be available only to buyers of the Audi R8.

Prince is the latest celebrity to announce a new fragrance and the first to name it after a record album. The diminutive pop superstar's scent will be called 3121 after his latest release and available on July 7th to correspond with the Live Earth concerts taking place in eight cities around the world including London, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro .

According to his publicist it will be "Xquisite, Mysterious, Xotic" and will smell like a "kaleidoscope of rich florals."
