Womens Wear Daily reports that The Valentino Fashion Group is in advanced talks with Alessandra Facchinetti to possibly succeed Valentino should he step down as head of the label.
The company is currently caught up in a frenzied acquisition drama and is expected to be sold.

A Milan native the 35 year old Facchinetti is best known  for succeeding Tom Ford as Gucci's women's ready-to-wear designer. She is expected to bring a younger look to Valentino and hopefully broaden its aging client base.

Two film projects are in the works about the life and times of Coco Chanel.
French actress Audrey Tautou is set to play the young Coco before her rise to fame during her transformation from a young orphan to a fashion original in a $15 million film directed by Anne Fontaine. 
Award winning actress Marina Hands has been cast by director William Friedkin to star in a film that chronicles the iconic designer’s tumultuous affair with composer Igor Stravinsky called Coco and Igor.

Donna Hogan, the 40-something half-sister of Anna Nicole Smith, has decided to turn herself into her dead sibling.
She wants to get her breasts enlarged and dye her hair blonde and then pose as a Playboy centerfold. Hogan maintains that several years ago she was approached by the Hefner people to do a photo spread for the magazine but she was not ready at the time. The overly opinionated Hogan recently wrote a tell-all book about Smith called Train Wreck.
