A blend of American Idol meets Iron Chef , Hair Wars' will have sixteen finalist styling teams who will compete before a live studio audience. Each team will consist of a stylist, a colourist and make up artist who, in 90 minutes, will transform random “models” pulled from the studio audience. The models will undergo a wardrobe “pit stop” and will have to walk the Hair Wars catwalk before the scrutiny of the three celebrity judges. Presented in fifteen half-hour episodes set up in tournament format with a winner having to survive four rounds to win. The grand prize is a one-year supply of products and fixtures courtesy of the sponsor group, valued at more than $50,000. “We wanted to take the best of reality game and makeover shows and put it all on an egg timer,” says Jonathan Gross, Executive Producer. “The urgency of the clock is what makes this show tick. Hair styling is the new contact sport.” Look for the premiere of Hair Wars on Fashion Television Channel, October 2004 . |
